Outdoors or Indoors?

This information is based off my personal knowledge of bunnies and what I feel most bunnies are comfortable with. I personally feel that bunnies are more comfortable being indoors, but being able to explore outside when the weather is nice. A lot of bunny advocates think a rabbit should ONLY stay indoors, which I completely disagree with. It's really good for bunnies to explore outside the house because they trigger that "wild" instinct. I do believe to some extent rabbits can live outside. I don't recommend it but if you feel your bunny would be best outside go for it! With my experience, all my bunnies have always loved the outdoors. Now I'm not saying you should keep your bunny outdoors all year round. I say this because you have to put some things into consideration.

 Outdoor Rabbits tend to...
-Have more stress due to weather changes, temperature changes, noise, etc.
-Be easily frightened by a predator
-Have bug problems (Flea, Tick, etc)
-feel lonely and abandoned (especially if you only have one bunny)

Indoor Rabbits tend to....
-Be happy and stress free
-Feel part of the family
-not have to be worried about weather, predators, noises, etc
-be healthier

If you so choose to take your bunny outside during the summer months and whenever the weather is nice please do the following to insure your rabbit will be safe and happy.

-Use a harness (specially made for bunnies) to walk your rabbit.
-NEVER let your rabbit off the harness. (I do this with Sophie only for photo shoots and she's right by me the whole time)
-Make sure your bunny has a flea or some sort of shot to protect from bugs and diseases.

After your bunny has had fun outside make sure to check him for any possible signs of illness. Make sure to check his fur, and look for fleas, ticks, etc. Also be sure to make sure his paws are clean, as I'm sure you don't want a dirty bun in your house.
